Terror Alert Level

Terror Alert Level

WXPort Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the web. Here you'll see lots of stuff that I find interesting -- some useful, some serious, some frivilous. It all depends on my mood when I update the page. Enjoy.

real life

I'm a System Administrator specializing in Configuration Management (IBM/Rational's ClearCase product suite and ENOVIA's DesignSync product suite). I'm currently working at Texas Instruments.

games

I am an avid game player. I've always loved games of all kinds (well, except for Monopoly). No, war games are more my speed; though I play some RPG's - I especially like the d20 versions of Traveller, Judge Dredd, and Call of Cthulhu.

current favorites

Right now, I would have to say that I am spending most of my time playing either one of the fantasy games published by Rackham (Confrontation, Rag'Narok, or Hybrid) or Federation Commander by Amarillo Design Bureau.

old chestnuts

I also play Warhammer 40,000, Warmaster, Necromunda, Warhammer Quest, and Talisman by Games Workshop. I was a Sharpshooter for Target Games, and ran demonstrations and tournaments for both Warzone and Chronopia. Sadly, these last two are once again out of print.

When I'm not pushing little toy soldiers around on a table, I like to play board games. One of my favorites is Advanced Squad Leader though I also like Empires in Arms, Star Fleet Battles, as well as many others.

on-line magazines

I've written reviews, scenarios, and RPG adventures for Fictional Reality - an on-line wargamming magazine about fantasy/science fiction miniature and role playing games. Heck, for a while I was on the editoral board. Go check it out!

and the rest...

I've often come up with various lists of things - thematic double features and unfilmable movies for example. Since I've got the site, I thought I'd keep a copy on-line.

So, that's it. Feel free to look around some more, and if you've got any questions... mail me!
